Glamourpuss… who we are

It was by a chance gathering of friends and a martini or two, that Daniela started working for the travel publishers, LUXE City Guides Hong Kong and Singapore as their Sales and Marketing Manager. Daniela was the first employee to join LUXE back in February 2005. Daniela spearheaded the sales and distribution throughout South East Asia. She also negotiated her way into the very influential and notoriously-hard-to-get-into UK stores just in time for Christmas.

After relocating to Singapore mid 2005 Daniela then became the Resident Editor for the LUXE Singapore guide and scoured the Island for its best dining, shopping and drinking hotspots. Today Daniela remains the editor to the LUXE Singapore guide.

In 2007 Daniela set up her own company calling it Glamourpuss. Today, Glamourpuss is an import and marketing company where Glamourpuss sources glamorous goods that are especially ‘made by women for women’.

Glamourpuss started its first distribution range importing the highly successful UK pocket beauty brand, Girl2Go and branching out further into retail with the fabulous range of DIY and Garden Pink tools for women from New Zealand. Also extending her travel related goods, Glamourpuss has now secured the distribution rights for The Brag Company now known as the celebrity loved bra bags and panty packs collection – you know the one, travel in style, arrive in form, Ms Jennifer Aniston style.

Daniela’s upcoming ventures, with her partner Euan, will be bringing into the SE Asian market the very successful and much loved Deck of Secrets from Melbourne. Deck of Secrets has a significant and loyal following in Australia with already expansion into the European and Asian markets. Glamourpuss is again out hunting Singapore for 52 of its best bars and dining secrets.

Mr Chan & Ree Yong With so much travel these days, Glamourpuss never leaves for long her beloved Chihuahua’s, Mr Brutis Chan and Lady Octavia Ho. The two miniature-artiste’s are the face of Ree-Yong, chic pet furniture range in Singapore.

Daniela originally from Sydney was born to Italian parents, mother from Rome (very glam), and father from Naples (think Sophia Loren), who relocated from Italy back in the 1960’s. Daniela left Sydney mid 1999 to work and live in Amsterdam, London, Naples, Hong Kong and now Singapore.

Daniela’s inspirations are all the ‘things she loves’ and ‘quality things you can not find in Asia’ especially if they are ‘made by women for women’. The best way of doing this was to do it her-way and create Glamourpuss, where she only purchases goodies that inspires her.

What’s the future for Glamourpuss?
With the exclusive distribution of a couple of very high end fashion brands such as handbags and fabulous travel pampering goodies for the ladies. Now, that we have our very own talented in-house designer stay tuned for some glad-bags and glad-rags coming your way……

We also support the organization Kiva. A charity that changes lives and empowers families through micro-finance. We support women with start-up businesses related to fashion and beauty. The fact is glamour is universal, although for some, needs are more basic by necessity.
